Insurance Companies of Florida
American Integrity - is requesting a copy of the insured’s energy bill which will show the measurement of net metering portion and they will decide if eligible or ineligible.
The carrier will allow a little energy “buy back” from the overage of the panels. They just cannot accept them if they are primarily used for “feeding” the grid and a business venture.
They do not allow solar or energy companies to be added to the policy as an additional
insured.
American Traditions - Allows Solar panels and net metering. Does not allow a company to be listed on the policy.
Centauri - will accept standard solar panels, we will not accept any other form of solar panels like the Tesla roof, etc. The panels either need to be on the roof or in the yard. If on the home they are Coverage A, if they are not on the home they are Coverage B. They need to own the panels and we will not accept any on a buy-back program.
